A. You can visit my Ranges page where you can browse all options, find prices and book your appointment.
Q. I want to book in advance but I'm not sure which Range to go for, can I change my mind at a later date?
A. Yes of course! I suggest booking in for 'A Pair of Casts Framed' as this will ensure we have enough time allocated for your appointment. You can then send me an email or message via any of my socials to update me if you change your mind.
Q. Where are you based/where do I come for my appointment?
A. I run my business from my home in Biggleswade.
I have customers visiting me from all over Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond.
The full address will be sent to you when you book your appointment.
Q. How can I book in for a keepsake appointment?
A. You can visit my Ranges page where you can browse all options, find prices and book your appointment.
Q. How long does the process take?
A. I allow an hour for most appointments. This ensures you have enough time to settle your baby/child and to look at the finishing options available. I also love a chat!
The actual casting / print process is fairly quick. For Raised Impressions, the baby/child will have their hand / foot pressed into soft clay for around 10 seconds.
For 3D casts, once their hand / foot is submerged into the mixture, it takes around 2 minutes for the mixture to fully set to a flexible mould before their hand / foot is wriggled out.
Q. My baby is really wriggly, can it still be done?
A. Yes of course. A sleeping or chilled baby is always nice but also very rare!
For 3D casts, the moulding mixture sets around the hand / foot so the child's movement is restricted as time goes on so we don't need them to be fully still.
If there is too much movement then this may effect the mould. I can usually tell whether the mould is good or not and will take extras and spares as needed.
For older babies / children, you are also welcome to bring any snacks or toys for them to help keep them happy during the appointment.
Q. Is my baby too young / too old?
A. Keepsakes can be created from hours old to 100 years old.
The materials used to create the moulds and prints of your keepsakes are made from natural ingredients and completely safe for use on sensitive skin.
Q. How long does it take for my keepsakes to be finished?
A. I usually quote around 6 weeks. It may be slightly longer occasionally but I always aim to keep you updated
Q. I had previous keepsakes done with another business, can you match it?
A. I cannot guarantee an exact match as I may use different suppliers to other keepsake artists. I often suggest you bring your keepsakes with you so you can compare it to the options I offer.
Q. What if I need to change / feed my baby whilst we're at the appointment?
A. Go ahead! Baby's needs come first so, I can wait! For older babies / children, you are also welcome to bring any snacks or toys for them to help keep them happy during the appointment.
